Balance with Blocks

The fear of falling out of an arm balance pose is what keeps many of us from ever taking our feet off the ground. Learning how to use blocks to support our bodies is a great way to decrease and even eliminate that fear and learn how to take flight.

In this workshop we will be exploring Bakasana (crow), Parsva Bakasana (side crow) as well as Eka Pada Koundinyasana I and Eka Pada Galavasana (flying pigeon) and using blocks to make these poses easier for takeoff.

If you have ever wanted to balance on your hands but not sure you could, you need to take this class. You will be amazed at the creative ways we will use blocks to assist the body off the ground.

Headstand Workshop

If you want to learn how to safely get yourself upside down and learn how to effectively headstand, then this is the workshop for you. In this 75-minute workshop, you will discover all you need to know to safely perform a headstand. This workshop will take place in my home studio and given the current restrictions, will be limited to only 5 participants.
No previous experience required.

Backbending Workshop

Thursday April 8, 2021
6:30pm – 8:00pm

This backbending workshop is designed to help you identify the areas of your body that may be preventing you from comfortably performing backbending poses. We will examine areas in the upper back, shoulders, glutes and core and learn how to effectively use each of these areas to support our bodies in backbending shapes.

Poses explored will include Ustrasana (Camel), Setu Bandha Sarvāṅgāsana (Bridge) and Urdvha Danurasana (Wheel Pose).

This workshop will be offered in studio as well as on Zoom. 

Required Props: 2 blocks and a strap (can be available in studio if required)
